{"id":621,"date":"2009-04-08T18:58:36","date_gmt":"2009-04-08T18:58:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=621"},"modified":"2009-04-08T18:58:36","modified_gmt":"2009-04-08T18:58:36","slug":"stephen-shore-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=621","title":{"rendered":"Stephen Shore Video"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just watched this on &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aphotoeditor.com\/2009\/04\/08\/stephen-shore-video\/\" target=\"_blank\">A Photo Editor<\/a>&#8216; &#8211; nine and a half minutes with much of the time <em>Stephen Shore <\/em>talking about how he works and well worth watching.<\/p>\n<p>Shore of course has long been a favourite photographer of mine, particularly for the work he published in 1982 in &#8216;<em>Uncommon Places<\/em>&#8216; of which I have a well-thumbed copy. But I enjoyed seeing him and listening to him talk about the medium. And it made me go and find the book and look through it again.<\/p>\n<p><em>William Eggleston<\/em> is another of my favourites, but the video of him featured on the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aphotoeditor.com\/2009\/04\/08\/eggleston-video\/\" target=\"_blank\"> same site<\/a> made by his son Winston I found far less interesting. It&#8217;s a bit too much <em>Gee I like my dad and I think his pictures are great<\/em> for my taste, and one or two pictures where I&#8217;d hoped he tell me a bit about them he simply passes without comment.
