{"id":4549,"date":"2014-10-10T09:35:21","date_gmt":"2014-10-10T09:35:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=4549"},"modified":"2014-10-09T21:35:38","modified_gmt":"2014-10-09T21:35:38","slug":"faces-funerals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=4549","title":{"rendered":"Faces &#038; Funerals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple of short clips from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hsqwg5wtGfo&amp;list=UU-wos-YdZNZjOKeMONl79EA&amp;index=1\" target=\"_blank\">BBC World Service<\/a> that are worth watching, both by photographers I know and whose work I admire.<\/p>\n<p>The first is <em>Derek Ridgers<\/em> who talks to<em> Dan Damon<\/em> about some of the people he photographed in clubs and elsewhere which are in his book book &#8216;<em>78\/87 London Youth&#8217;<\/em>.\u00a0 Following on from this, Damon talks with <em>Charlie Phillips<\/em> about Afro-Caribbean funerals in London, with pictures from his forthcoming book &#8216;<em>How Great Thou Art<\/em>&#8216;, successfully funded through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/151111416\/charlie-phillips-presents-how-great-thou-art?ref=discovery\" target=\"_blank\">Kickstarter<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.photofusion.org\/exhibitions\/how-great-thou-art-50-years-of-african-caribbean-funerals-in-london\/\" target=\"_blank\">Photofusion <\/a>in Brixton is showing this work next month &#8211; 7 November \u2013 5 December 2014.
