{"id":411,"date":"2008-10-09T10:01:41","date_gmt":"2008-10-09T10:01:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=411"},"modified":"2008-10-09T10:01:41","modified_gmt":"2008-10-09T10:01:41","slug":"gilles-perrin-on-show-in-paris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=411","title":{"rendered":"Gilles Perrin &#8211; on show in Paris"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few days ago I had an e-mail from\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.art-contemporain.eu.org\/perrin\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gilles Perrin<\/a> about his work in two shows in Paris,\u00a0\u00a0 <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.demainnosenfants.com\/personnalites\/gilles-perrin.php\" target=\"_blank\">Children of the world<\/a><\/em> at the Commercial stock exchange, 2 rue Viarme 75001 Paris from October 29 to November 12, 2008, and <em>Recent works: Africa, Asia&#8230;<\/em>\u00a0 at b\u00e2timent des Douches, 5 rue Legouve, 75010 Paris October 17 to November 28, 2008.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/buildingsoflondon.co.uk\/Library\/perrin-invitation.jpg\" width=\"424\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was very impressed by Perrin&#8217;s work from <a href=\"http:\/\/zonezero.com\/exposiciones\/fotografos\/perrin\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tibet<\/a> and Africa when I met <a href=\"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=73\" target=\"_blank\">Gilles and Nicole in Birmingham<\/a> last year. You can see more of his work on at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.art-contemporain.eu.org\/perrin\/\" target=\"_blank\">art-Contemporain<\/a> site, and in particular his work from Ireland, <em>THE MEN OF THE SEA<\/em>, which has text in English as well as French.<\/p>\n<p>The web site is easier if you read a little French, but otherwise, chose <a href=\"http:\/\/www.art-contemporain.eu.org\/perrin\/expos\/accueil.html\" target=\"_blank\">A l&#8217;affiche<\/a> then click the red triangle to the right of <em>\u00abLes hommes de la mer\u00bb, Irlande, 2007\/2008<\/em>. On the page that appears are links (red triangles) to the portraits from <em>Cork <\/em>and also &#8220;<em>diptyques et triptyques<\/em>&#8221;\u00a0 and on these pages you can click on the red rectangles to see the pictures larger.<\/p>\n<p>You can also read (in French) a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.art-contemporain.eu.org\/perrin\/expos\/2008002\/Chantier%20photographique%20-%20Conflans.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">PDF file <\/a>about his work from March to September this year in Conflans Sainte Honorine, a historic town in the northwest suburbs of Paris around 15 miles from the city centre, where the River Oise runs into the River Seine.
