{"id":1885,"date":"2013-03-13T20:53:39","date_gmt":"2013-03-13T20:53:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=1885"},"modified":"2013-03-13T20:53:39","modified_gmt":"2013-03-13T20:53:39","slug":"lensculture-march-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=1885","title":{"rendered":"Lensculture March 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m always pleased to get news from Jim Casper of a new edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/lensculture.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Lensculture<\/a>, though I&#8217;ve not yet had time to look through all the material on it.\u00a0 Of what I&#8217;ve seen so far, the highlight is a set of work from Michell Sank,\u00a0 <em><a href=\"http:\/\/lensculture.com\/sank.html\" target=\"_blank\">In My Skin<\/a>,<\/em> work from her project about &#8220;young people under 25 in the UK who are challenging their body image &#8220;, though I find it hard to understand why some of those she has photographed have any problems with what seem to me perfectly adequate\u00a0 forms.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve managed to live with all my own imperfections for a very long time without getting too worried.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve also enjoyed looking at Gloriann Liu&#8217;s essay on<a href=\"http:\/\/lensculture.com\/liu.html?thisPic=100\" target=\"_blank\"> Long Term Refugee Camps in Lebanon<\/a> and several other pieces on the site, though as always Lens Culture covers a wide range of photographic practice, including a few things that do nothing for me.
