Now much of it is occupied by delivery centres and I think there are rather more fences than in 1994.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was a picture largely about shapes and as with many olds getting the colours to look natural is a problem &#8211; as you can see particulary in the foliage here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/94-03-3-31-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"402\" src=\"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/94-03-3-31-1-1024x402.jpg\" alt=\"Bridge, Pipe Bridge, Lea Navigation, Brimsdown, Enfield, 1994, 94-03-3-31\" class=\"wp-image-17647\" srcset=\"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/94-03-3-31-1-1024x402.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/94-03-3-31-1-300x118.jpg 300w, http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/94-03-3-31-1-768x302.jpg 768w, http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/94-03-3-31-1-1536x604.jpg 1536w, http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/94-03-3-31-1-2048x805.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em><em>Bridge, Pipe Bridge, Lea Navigation, <\/em>Brimsdown, Enfield, 1994, 94-03-3-31<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The colour is rather better in this image of a large pipe bridge, possibly carrying gas, over the navigation. This is now a part of &#8216;Ponders End Waterfront&#8217;. At right is the Eleanor Cross, one of twelve built to the orders of King Edward I to mark the overnight resting places of his wife Eleanor of Castile who died near Lincoln in 1290 as her body was en route to Westminster Abbey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Much restored it now sits in the pedestrianised shopping centre, one of only 3 surviving Eleanor Crosses.
