The &#8216;<em>Greenway<\/em>&#8216; of course runs through the centre of the London Olympic site, and last month a part of it was closed to allow for demolition work.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mylondondiary.co.uk\/2007\/12\/13\/20071213-d0270.jpg\" height=\"302\" width=\"450\" \/><br \/>\n<em>December 2007<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mylondondiary.co.uk\/2007\/02\/11\/070211_d0276.jpg\" height=\"302\" width=\"450\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Feb 2007<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, things have changed slightly!<\/p>\n<p>Further on, I went under the Northern Outfall where it goes over the Lea Navigation, and there was some splendid light and reflection:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mylondondiary.co.uk\/2007\/12\/13\/20071213-d0328.jpg\" height=\"302\" width=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From there I made for one of my favourite footbridges:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mylondondiary.co.uk\/2007\/12\/13\/20071213-d0406.jpg\" height=\"302\" width=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and had a job to tear myself away to get to Hackney Wick and catch the train to start my journey home.<\/p>\n<p>More pictures on <a href=\"http:\/\/mylondondiary.co.uk\/2007\/12\/dec.htm#2012\" target=\"_blank\">My London Diary<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As it was a nice day on Thursday I took the chance of a walk along the Northern Outfall Sewer from Stratford to Old Ford, and then on to Hackney Wick.
