{"id":1016,"date":"2010-06-05T09:14:46","date_gmt":"2010-06-05T09:14:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=1016"},"modified":"2010-06-05T09:14:46","modified_gmt":"2010-06-05T09:14:46","slug":"munem-wasif-on-lensculture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=1016","title":{"rendered":"Munem Wasif on Lensculture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve several times mentioned the work of <em>Munem Wasif<\/em> here, and this photographer born in Bangladesh in 1983 was one of the &#8216;top five&#8217; I picked from <a href=\"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=230\" target=\"_blank\">PDN&#8217;s &#8216;Top 30&#8217;<\/a> in 2008. He was also one of my choices for the <a href=\"http:\/\/re-photo.co.uk\/?p=433\" target=\"_blank\">Prix Pictet<\/a> later that year, and although he didn&#8217;t win the main prize he was awarded the the commission to document WaterAid\u0092s Chittagong Hill Tracts Project in  Bangladesh.<\/p>\n<p>So I&#8217;m pleased to see that on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lensculture.com\/wasif.html?thisPic=100\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Lensculture <\/em><\/a>you can now see a gallery of 30 of his images together with text by Francis Hodgson, head of the Prix Pictet jury,\u00a0 with an exclusive audio interview about this project, plus another short interview about his evolving style as a photographer. It&#8217;s an interesting reflection on the way that he works as well as giving more information about the story.
